When you wake up each day you can either go back to sleep and dream your dreams, or get up and chase them. I’m putting my shoes on.
This blog was originally started to serve as inspiration for others who follow me in my path to a healthier lifestyle. Funny thing is, it got dangerously close to a public journal that didn’t need to be public. Completely unacceptable.
Inspiration comes from drive, perseverance, positivity, and faith. There’s no place for negativity in that.
I’m blessed to see that and to have an amazing special someone to hold me accountable to that.
“You are responsible for exactly who, what, and where you are in life. That will be just as true this time next year.” ~ Kekich Credo
No one’s to blame for success and failure in our lives except ourselves. Period. We live and die with the choices we make. We make our own bed, and we have to sleep in it.
When we choose one thing, and neglect other things in our life, we cannot blame that which we chose because that choice was our own.
We all have those things that we wish we’d have done differently. Usually hindsight is 20/20. But often when we break something with the choices we make, it’s not repairable to its previous condition. We can only move forward with what we have left.
Don’t stumble over what’s already behind you. The only direction we need to be going is forward. Maybe, just maybe, anything that we’ve broken can be restored as we take steps toward taking responsibility for the choices we’ve made.
I put in around 600 miles running over the last year. I decided last night that it was time for me to put it all together and get ready for my two goals, running a half marathon and full marathon. Today was day one of the plan. By mid December I’ll be ready to go for the full 26.2 miles. Thrilled to have set my schedule and excited to see the work that I’ve put in over the last year pay off.

“Now it’s time to redefine the grind. This is the part where life demands that you make a lifelong vow, come hell or high water, that you’re willing to pay the price where you earn your spot with effort, with sweat, with blood, and with tears.
So you say you want it as bad as you want to breathe. Then it’s showtime. It’s examination time. It’s time to get tested, to test your will, your endurance; it’s time to test your heart, to test your limits. This is the part where you reinvent yourself.”
